How to advertise cheaply and still get more bang for your buck is the basic theme of this blog.

Its message is directed to entrepreneurs and existing owners of small to medium size businesses who find it "impossible" to attract customers using a meager budget.

Get the best. Always pay the least.

. Why you are in definite need

of a website.

If you're among the reluctant few who still have no internet presence, you know you're losing business to competitors who do, and you are probably growing to realize that you can no longer survive without it.

Unless you have a one-of-a-kind product that is only available at your brick and mortar location, the realization that you must have a website must have hit you many times over. When the FedEX or UPS driver rings your doorbell to alert you of a delivery, it usually signals the arrival of an internet purchase made from a household member's computer. It could be a book or product from Amazon, or a clothing purchase, child's toy, or any number of categories where price and convenience are key factors in the purchase. This should be your wake-up call. Because while your store or office is closed, and you and your employees are home for the evening, someone, somewhere might be in need of your product or service and the sale will not be coming to you. And if you think about it logically, that someone could be a whole bunch of someones you could have nurtured into recurring sales.

Your website is your store, it is your office, it's where you lure the curious to see what it is you offer and what you're willing to do to get them to make a purchase. It's the "look" and  "feel" of your business. You get to speak without interruption and show off your business in the most

favorable light. And while it can be expensive to advertise to people on the street and create the amenities crucial to a physical shopping experience, it costs comparitively little to attract them to your site. It's not about "all the bells and whistles" that impresses visitors to your site, and it's not about entertaining them, it's about providing informative dialog and a well designed presence that's easy to navigate, all with copy that's respectful of their willingness to eventually spend money with you.

There are locations on the internet that allow you to build your own site, but they usually come with a monthly tab for the priviledge of keeping it alive. Depending on where you go and who you use to build your site, you can expect it to be reasonably inexpensive to register your name, build the site, and host it online. If you want to learn a whole lot more about it before you make the plunge, you can visit my Siteenstein.com site to see what I've done for others, read my planning guide, learn the basic steps for creating a website, or you can contact me and I'll explain everything to you directly and in complete detail.

We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act but a habit. Aristotle
